I am going to bring this up again; The Sioux dominate the Bulldogs on Friday night and come within seconds of scoring the winning goal on Saturday night before losing in overtime yet drop in the ranking and the number two team in the nation keeps their ranking, that’s ridiculous. It's a meaningless poll, but it's silly. Also; no one is saying that UMD isn’t good but let’s put this into perspective, comparing the two teams schedules, the Sioux have played a tougher schedule. Notice I didn’t say that UMD is not a good team. I said lets look at this with some perspective.

Some of us had wondered if UND sweeps the Gophers would they actually make the INCH power rankings or not. We did it. With the Sweep this weekend the Fighting Sioux have moved up to 17th in the (Pairwise Rankings). The Sioux need to keep winning against the REAL HUSKIES this weekend. QUinnipiac dropped out of the Power Rankings and is still bubble-licious why isn't UMD?

Analysis
While it is nice to be in the top 20 again, it is way too early to really make much in the way of inferences about team rankings. It will be interesting to see how the teams end up after the holiday tourneys. I personally think DU is the best team in the country right now.

Analysis
These guys power ranking is a joke. I mean Gladdy has gotten better on the podcasts and on the ESPN chat but but come on. Seriously all of these polls. We are to believe that Princeton is the 6th ranked team in the nation? Cornell at 9th this is the same team that UND shredded on on Friday night a few weeks back. What are they going to do when both of these teams are bounced in the first round again?
