Red Meat: Fighting Sioux fans get accused of being conspiracy theorists, however, after watching last nights poorly officiated game, one could make the stretch with relative ease, that the WCHA wanted a game three to sell more tickets, they must be loving life, three series will go to a third game. What bigger draw than having the Gophers and the Sioux play on Sunday night, you're going to sell 9,000 - 10,000+ tickets at a 80% profit for the WCHA. I did see a black helicopter hovering behind the Ralph last night.

It could actually happen.
My prediction for the Gophers and UAA
I predict that this weekend the WCHA league office will assign a combination of Don Adam, Jon Campion, Marko Hunt and Derrick Shepherd to the Minnesota and UAA series. Also, expect WCHA commissioner Bruce McLeod and Greg Shepherd to be in attendance for one or both games this weekend.
The games will be called tightly because the leagues money maker is already in danger of not getting a home playoff series or making the WCHA Final Five and just cannot happen. The Gophers must be given a life line.
My Scenario: UAA Seawolves players beware, if so much as breath on the Golden Gopher players there will be a penalty called and you will be sent to the box to feel shame. I also predict that there will be a high number of penalties called this weekend so be forewarned that there will be a parade to the penalty box. Also there will be no flow to the games what–so-ever. The UAA Seawolves will be whistled for 10-15 penalties a game. I predict a sweep and all will be fine in Rodent Land.
*Disclaimer : I wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween, remember this is humor but not outside the realm of possibility. On Saturday the NCAA Round up will be posted at 12:00.

Hey ref you...
Fighting Sioux hockey beat writer Brad Elliott Schlossman has now posted the numbers for the WCHA refs just in time for the WCHA season. Sweet.
Personally, I was kind of disgusted that the refs have now gone chicken, so the fans no longer know who they are without the roster, because they no longer put their names on the back of their jerseys. I can't be the only on that thinks that was a stupid thing to do? I mean seriously, if the officials are not doing a good job (like usual) there should be a name attached to the product. I suppose the League Commissioner Bruce McLeod believes that it will decrease the complaints against their crappy officials. Not a chance. If you doing a horrible job there should be some ownership connected with the crappy product.
