Okposo toe-drags Shootout Goal
I was watching this game last night between the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders. Check out this sick goal by former Minnesota Gopher forward Kyle Okposo.

Capitals Tom Wilson Smokes Islanders D-Man Lubomir Visnovsky
Last night, at the 05:54 mark of the second period, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson ran over New York Islanders d-man Lubomir Visnovsky. Wilson was given a two-minute minor penalty for charging. Visnovsky left the game and didn't return. That hit didn't sit well with the Islanders.
Islanders forward Kyle Okposo wasn't very impressed with Wilson's charge.
"He's an idiot," Okposo said of Wilson. "The guy runs around, hits reckless, leaves his feet. There's no place for that."

Wilson will not be suspended for his hit on Visnovsky.

USA Hockey: Are we forgetting someone.
Hey @usahockey, you might be forgetting someone for your Olympic team... pic.twitter.com/yygVMmMaUV

It would appear that leaving Bobby Ryan off of the Olympic hockey team might be a huge mistake.

Kyle Okposo will not be suspended for his hit on Zach Bogosian
According to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun, Islanders forward Kyle Okposo's shoulder to head hit on Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian was reviewed by the NHL's Department of Player Safety and there will be no supplemental discipline. Nor should there be, in my opinion. It's doesn't look like Okposo targeted Bogosian's head.
There is also some question if Bogosian suffered a concussion on the play. I wondered about that too, since Bogosian challenged Okposo to a fight later on in the game, so we will see. No one wants to see a person get hurt.
I can say with confidence, that Bogosian is not going to get "a lot" of empathy from Wild fans, especially after he buried Wild forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard last December and escaped supplemental discipline on the play. Bouchard missed the final 41 games of the regular season with a concussion, as a result of the Bogosian hit.
Just got word from #NHL that hit by #Isles RW Kyle Okposo on #NHLJets D Zach Bogosian was reviewed, there will be no supplemental discipline

Not much injury info provided but looked like Olli Jokinen likely suffered ankle injury. #NHLJets hoping Zach Bogosian did not get concussed

(VIdeo) Kyle Okposo with a high hit on Zach Bogosian
Here is the hit that got some discussion on twitter this afternoon. New York Islanders forward Kyle Okposo hit Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian with a high hit in the head area. No penalty was called on the play and obviously, there could have been a penalty.
#Isles RW Kyle Okposo with a high hit on #NHLJets D Zach Bogosian. Shoulder to head, but it was not called by folks in stripes.

Zach Parise's waved off goal.
So did former Fighting Sioux forward Zach Parise score a legitimate goal or not? In reviewing the video it looks like the refs "may" have made the right call. What do you think? Did the ref make the right call, or not? Why?
