Voros hits Staal from behind.

Minnesota Wild forward Aaron Voros hits Hurricanes star Eric Staal in what is obvious a questionable hit from behind. There is no doubt about this hit its definately a checking from behind hit. I am sure that Voros knows it was a bush league check as well.

The thing that puzzled me the most was after Staal was through drawing the five minute major; which was the proper call in this situatioin was back out on the ice for the power play.

Wow; Scott Nichol vs Andrew Ference.

I was watching the Bruins game last night and this was a great fight. Check it out, both guys swinging down to the ice. This is the kind of fights that I appreciate the most ones that aren't scripted that just happen.

Adam Burish and Keith Ballard

A person from Sioux sports game me a heads up on couple of great fights. First one is Adam Burish as he comes to the aid of former and current teammate Jack Skille, you have got to love it a Badger kicking the snot out of a Gopher, I would have paid money to watch that one. All I can say to Ballard you live by the sword you die by the sword, Ballard got his ass kicked.

Here is a great fight between James Wisniewski and Jordin Tootoo I have to say that I enjoyed watching Tootoo getting his ass kicked.

Four seconds into the game Ryan Hollweg vs Mike Brown

Zdeno Chara works over Guillaume Latendresse

Ouch, I am not so sure that Latendresse should have challenged Chara, in retrospect it seemed stupid. I would love to see Chara fight more but I would rather not see him hitting players up high like that as well.

Boogaard gets even with May

I was watching the replay of the Wild and Ducks on my DVR this afternoon when I was very happy to see this fight happen. Some will say, “that fighting has no place in hockey”. Well Folks these people are dead wrong. The May vs. Boogaard fight is a direct result of the Brad May’s cheap gutless sucker punch of Wild defenseman Kim Johnsson.

In this instance the code worked well both men dropped the gloves and settled this thing on the ice. Brad May while he might be a classless hack knew eventually that he was going to have to pay for this egregious act against a defenseless unsuspecting competitor/player and fought instead of turtling.
