Boggie kicks the snot out of Nick Boynton and linesman.

Derek Boogaard absolutely beats the snot out of former Boston Bruin Nick Boynton and then the ref gets hit in the ribs with a Derek Boogaard punch while breaking up the fight. My first question; is Nick Boynton crazy? What the heck was he thinking? You're taking on the Boogie man who is one of the best most feared fighters in the NHL?

This goes back to the premise of fighting someone for a checking someone. In this instance Derek Boogaard didn’t even hit the Ducks forward Dan Sexton, yet Boynton is going to stand up and fight an experienced cement head like Derek Boogaard for a non-hit. Of course Boogaard is going to Oblige. I see challenging someone for a dirty hit, a checking from behind or for a head shot. Boynton deserves to get his butt kicked.

Scott works Conboy like a clown.

This is a fight that happened this past weekend between Former SCSU Husky Tim Conboy and former MTU Husky John Scott. What in the heck was Tim Conboy thinking? Scott treated Conboy like a rag doll and worked Conboy like he was a punching bag.

A couple of Ivy League Alum drop the mitts.

This was the best fight that I have seen during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Doug Murray is from Cornell and George Parros is a Princeton grad. Who says the Ivy League players can't fight? When the playoffs begin you see less fight and more of the unnecessary crap like face washes and stick work.

Brian Lee vs Maxim Lapierre

I thought this was a pretty good fight between former Fighting Sioux hockey player Brian Lee and Maxim Lapierre what ever it takes to stay in the line up. This was Brian Lee's first fight in the NHL. Brian Lee also had one fight against Pascal Morency when he was with the Binghamton Senators.

This is my definition of a brawl.

Boosh gave me a heads up on this great hockey fight video. Wow, check out Dustin Byfuglien as he punches Canucks goalie/prima Donna Roberto Luongo. Nice to see Alex Burrows getting his ass kicked I can't stand that hack. Also, this is not the definition of a staged fight, this was a result of a play on the ice and emotions boiling over.

Matt Hunwick schools Justin Williams.

Sioux7 and I watched this game yesterday and this was supposed to be former Michigan star and Boston Bruins rookie Matt Hunwick's first NHL fight. One punch hay maker. I guess you can expect a fight when you're team is being run out of the building.

The Legend keeps growing.

The Milan Lucic legend keep growing in Boston. The kid is an awesome draw for the Boston Bruins, he can score and fight. Typical prototypical Boston Bruins player. Good move for Milan Lucic, I can't stand Brendan Witt the guy is a punk, nice to see him get his ass worked over by Lucic.

David Backus beats the snot out of Anssi Salmela.

This is the end of the game Finland Vs. USA in IIHF World Hockey championships 2008. Looks like an NHL regular season game between Philly and Pittsburgh.

While there usually isn't fights in international hockey this is fight is a result of the Jussi Jokinen getting hammer into the boards by USA's Dustin Brown after the game had ended. I guess you could call it an old fashion American ass whopping. Notice the Finnish player Salmela doesn't want to drop his stick. Here is a description of the Backus and Salmela fight in English. Backus was suspended a game for fighting.

Here is a description of the end of the game melee/brawl.
At the end of the game there was a melee with players getting into physical confrontations, including a fight between David Backes and Anssi Salmela, who was bloodied. Both received match penalties.

"It's a hockey game you can't expect not to get hit out there," said Gilbert.

Matt Greene and Antti-Jussi Niemi both received leaving the bench penalties and game misconducts. Teemu Selanne was assessed roughing minors; Dustin Brown was assessed a checking to the head and neck minor and a misconduct.

For Jokinen, Backes, and Salmela, their match penalties draw an automatic one-game suspension. All three will miss their team's next game, and their actions are subject to automatic review which will take place on Tuesday, the day before the quarter-finals.

Jokinen and Salmela will be lost for Finland's next game against Canada to decide the winner of Group F. Backes will be lost for Team USA's game against Norway.

What? There is no fighting in the playoffs...

This was a great fight! Did you notice you didn't hear anyone booing the fight between Scottie Upshall and Tyler Kennedy? I would call this fight pretty close maybe a draw.

Steve Downie vs Jarkko Ruutu

So Downie is known for not taking his shield off. This is how you get Downie to take his helmet off. Ruutu just reached over and pulled off his helmet. This was also a pretty good game as well as Pittsburgh has found a way to win even without Sid the kid playing.

Commodore and Malone

I just found this fight on line tonight when I was looking for a replay of Mike Commodore's goal. If your a Sioux fan you have to love this fight. Two WCHA boys duking it out, great conference representation; Mike Commodore UND v Ryan Malone SCSU and of course I score the fight in Commies favor.

Western Michigan and Bowling Green Brawl

This past Friday night Western Michigan and Bowling Green had an all out brawl after Bowling Green's scored a 2nd empty-net goal. Now there will be those that say, "oh there is no room in hockey for fighting". Yep notice you don't hear on person booing. All 10 combantants were suspened for the next game.
