This hit is worth a second look, Dion Phaneuf absolutley destroys Montreal Canadian Tomas Plekanec. One Hab's blogger wasn't very happy with the hit and thought the refs blew it.
There are other angles of this hit that show what really happened much better. Plekanec tried to outmuscle Phaneuf for the puck. If you're going to try to be physical with one of the most physical guys in the league, you get one chance to get it right. Great play by Phaneuf, no cheap stickwork or headhunting. I see nothing there that should merit any crying by anyone. Go Flames go!
