star tribune pictureThis is the reason I am sick of Wild GM Doug Doug Risebrough and his lack of focus on keeping the Wild's star players. First we lose Brian Rolston because he screwed around and low balled Brian. Next the Wild are probably going to lose Marian Gaborik and if Risebrough tries hard enough he can probably fail to sign Niklas Backstrom.
Risbrough is such a genius he hasn't even approached Niklas Backstrom about seeing if the all-pro goalie wants to sign another contract with the Minnesota Wild. Seriously, this is the Wild's All-Star goalie and the Wild haven't asked him if he is interested in staying in Minnesota. Why? What are they going to do if they can't resign Backstom? Josh Harding is no where near the goalie Backstrom is.
Super Star Marian Gaborik is about ready to play after missing all but two games of the season.
I would love to see the Wild get Gabby into the line up and see if he can get it going again. Then I would try to resolve the Gaborik situation.
I dislike how the Wild still do well, despite the management suckage
