By PAUL WALSH and DAVID CHANEN---Star Tribune A once rising young hockey star who had his career derailed by injury during his freshman season with the University of Minnesota sat in the Hennepin County jail for three days suspected of felony drug possession.
Nate Hagemo, 21, was jailed without bail from midday Saturday until early this afternoon on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance while in a south Minneapolis neighborhood.
Police have yet to forward the case to prosecutors for charges.
This is SO sad. When I saw his mug shot I thought right away "oh, those are burns/marks from either heroin or crack cocaine". Very, very sad.
ReplyDeleteI heard the news from a former teacher and found your blog through Google while trying to get more info.
ReplyDeleteNate and I were D partners in high school, he's a good kid and I appreciate you prefacing the story with a caution to rush to judgment. Doesn't sound like a good situation but we can certainly hope for the best
Joe your right, everyone has that right, seems that when athletes or famous people make a mistake they are tarred and feathered before they even get their day in court.
