WCHA Web Media Poll: Week 19

Each week, I participate in a WCHA Web Media Poll that is put on by the Tech Hockey Guide with 11 other people that represent both the print media as well as the hockey blogosphere.
There is a new number one team, in this week’s WCHA Web Media Poll. The Saint Cloud State Huskies move from Second place to first as they garner seven of 12 first place votes. The Minnesota Golden Gophers drop one spot to second place. North Dakota remains in third place and Nebraska-Omahamoves up one spot from fifth to fourth place.
Minnesota State moves up one spot from Sixth to fifth place. The Denver Pioneers are this week’s biggest loser as the Pioneers drops from fourth place to sixth place. The rest of the poll is the same as it was last week.
Here’s a look at the results the Tech Hockey Guide WCHA Web Media Poll for Week 19:

WCHA Web Media Poll: Week 18

Each week, I participate in a WCHA Web Media Poll that is put on by the Tech Hockey Guide with 11 other people that represent both the print media as well as the hockey blogosphere.
The Minnesota Gophers are still the #1 team in this week’s WCHA Web Media Poll, garnering seven of 12 votes. Second in this week’s poll, are the Saint Cloud State Huskies, as they picked up five of 12 first place votes.  Coming in third is the University of North Dakota.
Again, there wasn’t a lot of movement again during this week’s poll. Spots one through five remain the same, as well as spots 10-12. The only real movement is spots six, seven, eight and nine, they all traded places.  Meaning, Minnesota State trades places with Wisconsin and Colorado College trades places with Minnesota Duluth.
Here’s a look at the results the Tech Hockey Guide WCHA Web Media Poll for Week 18:

After this weekend’s sweep of Nebraska Omaha, things don’t look too bad for North Dakota. UND is 6-3-3 (.625) during the second half of the season and 3-0-2 in their last five games.

At times, during the second half of the season, UND probably hasn't played as well as they could, but they still have only lost three games in their last 17 games.

After this weekend’s play

UND is currently sitting sixth in the Pairwise Rankings.

UND is 6-4-4 when the opposition scores first.

UND is 10-4-2 when they score first.

UND is 8-2-1 when they lead after the first period.

UND is 12-1-2 when they lead after the second period.

UND is 11-0-2 when they score four our more goals.

UND is now 3-6-2 when they score two or fewer goals.
