Michigan Tech got some bad news yesterday when the school announced that sophomore forward Jujhar Khaira wouldn't be returning for his
sophomore season and he would be forgoing his final three years of eligibility
to sign a professional contract with the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers. According to the release by Michigan Tech, academics was not a factor in his decision to leave school early, he sported a 3.38 GPA. Khaira scored (6g-19a—25pts) in his only season with the Huskies.
Thank you to @mtuhky for a great year last year ! Really excited to start my new journey with @EdmontonOilers
