NHL throws the book at Jody Shelley

For his undisciplined and knuckle headed play Flyers tough guy goon Jody Shelley has been suspended by the NHL for the rest of the preseason and for the first five games of the regular season, while some will say it's too long, these types of suspensions should change aggressive illegal hits. I applaud NHL Senior Vice President of Player Safety Brendan Shanahan for making this tough call. I think that the NHL could cut down on the number of questionable/dirty hits if they keep handing out this type of punishment.
