The early verbal commitments from really young hockey players keep on coming. This isn't a slam on UAA, as they get a verbal commitment from a kid that just turned 16. Make that TODAY. Wow... I wonder if they will start giving verbal from in Junior High (7th, 8th and 9th grade) next?

According to Chris Heisenberg’s reliable 2009 college hockey recruiting site, the Seawolves have a commitment from Sam Mellor of the Kimberley Dynamiters (great name) in the British Columbia-based Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. Mellor turns 16 today.
