11 American were selected in the first round the 2010 NHL draft that is a new record.
As a Wild fan I am disappointed in their first round pick. You could have at least drafted a North American with your first round pick.

BallHype: hype it up!

  1. The Wild constantly remind me why I have become more of a Blackhawks fan. I was pretty pissed they passed over Fowler. They just keep letting me down. And if they were going to go with a forward, I was hopin for Etem. Ironically, the Ducks got both those guys.

  2. Scouts didn't like Fowlers shot and many of them beleived he was soft.

  3. The Wild did take Las Vegas native abd DU bound Jason Zucker in the 2nd round. Jason of the gold medals in the U18 and WJCs last year.

  4. I liked the Wild's take on drafting.

The Wild is simply too devoid of scoring forwards to take someone like Fowler, good or not.

    They need offense. Period.

Zucker was a good draft. So was Granlund.

The Blackhawks did indeed draft well. We'll see if they continue to do good under Bowman
