More Cindy Crosby antics
I am so sick and tired of Sidney Crosby's antics, I mean really. Crosby is a great hockey player and one of the best in the game but watch the video, Crosby cross checked Henrik Zetterberg about four times. In my opinion Crosby deserved a good beat down for that and good for Jimmy Howard for stepping up.

Ten bucks on Henrik.
ReplyDeleteI am so sick of Sidney Crosby, such a frickin whiner about everything. I am really not a fan of his or Ovechkin either, those guys could not cut it in the Western Conference at all. Give me Iginla over them any day of the week.
ReplyDeleteCharles- Crosby & Ovie couldn't make it? i hope you joking or high on drugs.
ReplyDeleteThere is something called defense in the Western Conference, I don't know if the East has ever heard or tried that outside of New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteAlex Ovechkin is leading the NHL in Plus Minus.
ReplyDeleteHe'd be the first player I'd put on my team.
Cindy, not so much.
You can win in the East simply by just scoring more whereas the West requires goaltending outside of Chicago.
ReplyDeleteThen again, Ovechkin is not against hitting anything out on the ice, he might be able to recreate his point totals in the West, I am not sure. Crosby definately would not be able to in the West.
ReplyDeleteI'm not fan of Sid or Ovechchrist, but I'm not going to go as far as saying they'll not make it out West.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, it was explained to me (and I've come to agree with it) that, if Gary "fire my @rse" Bettman had his way, one of them WOULD be in the Western Conference. That way they could at least APPEAR not to have eastern bias.
That being said, what Sid did has two sides:
Side 1 (otherwise known as the big picture hockey fan viewpoint) - Sidney got frustrated and took it out on Zetterberg at a time fortuitous to not facilitate the rearranging of his face. Chump like acts from someone who is supposedly the embodiment of a hockey legend, whatever that means.
Side 2 (NHL Network, NHL Front office, clueless moron, Pittsburgh Fan's viewpoint) - Sid was fed up with his team's lack luster performance and took out his frustration on the nearest Red Wing hack, by chance Zetterberg. It would have been better if he had done so to Holmstrom (though doing so would have resulted in Tomas rearranging his face) or Bertuzzi. You can also take into account . He was showing heart and drive. Lay off.
I think, overall, Sidney Crosby is a victim of a desperate moron in Gary Bettman and a media that bought into it.
He's a great player that reminds me a TON of Peter Forsberg (sans the diving) but with 1000 times the hype.
Alexander Ovechkin reminds me of Gordie Howe without the slapshot and including the tendency to perform dangerous hits. Also add the 1000 times the hype.
