The Wild's 15-6 with Latendresse in the lineup and 8-1 when he scores a point. Since Dec. 15, Latendresse's eight even-strength goals lead the NHL. Remember in the first month when the Wild didn't have a prayer to score at even-strength? [Russo's Rants]Incidentally, the guy the Wild traded to the Montreal Canadians to get Latendresse, former Wild player Benoit Pouliot has only scored 4 goals in 9 games. Latendresse surpassed Pouliot’s production with the Habs in three periods of hockey. Not hard to see who got the best of that deal?

A little early to be evaluating the deal. And four goals in nine games for the new Hab translates to about 36 over an entire season. Nobody is going to describe that as a lack of production.
ReplyDeleteMaybe so but it almost looks like the Wild have stolen him from the Habs. I love this guys game. The Wild have it going right now. That game was exciting last night, I watched it in Versus HD.
ReplyDeleteGoon,
ReplyDeleteWhat were your thoughts on the Gonchar hit on Clutter&uck? I can't belive that no one went after him. I was wondering if the league would be reviewing it but I haven't heard anything.
I will once I can find some video of it. On my twitter account I called Gonchar a hack.
ReplyDeleteClown, I think the league will review it because he got a five minute major.
ReplyDeleteThe trade was good for both sides, as Jacque said, Pouliot needed some pressure put on him and there is no place other than Montreal or Toronto for that when it comes to hockey.
ReplyDeleteClown I think this is the hit I can't watch it right now but I will coment on it tonight after work.

Yeah that's the one at 2:33. I just assumed you watched the game last night being that the Wild were finally on Versus. I like Gonchar but that hit is a little ridiculous. Pretty selfish too.
ReplyDeleteClown I watched the game last night it was an exciting game. I was suprised that Clutterbuck came back and was able to play.
