Martin Havlat on a roll.

At the beginning of the season Martin Havlat wasn't producing much in the way of goals and or points, then all of a sudden it clicked for Havlat. Rencently Havlat has been red hot much like the equipment truck that burned up in Ottawa. Then over the last 6 games where Havlat has 9 points. If we break it down futher Havlat has 11 points in 9 games. Now Havlat is starting to earn that 5 million dollars a year contract.
BallHype: hype it up!

  3. Havlat has been better as of late and most of Fletch's moves have been low risk/high reward moves like Ebbett and Ladendresse. I am not so sure he read too much into Kobasew's success in Boston last year, more a product of playing on a good team than a real 20 goal scorer. I think we might have given up too much for just a plug in play guy who was acquired in a panic move especially if Robbie Earl was ready to contribute. This team is still very far away from being any real threat in the west. I know a lot of people would be satisfied if they made the playoffs this year, but I would rather see them trade away all of the UFAs and other dead weight (and I mean you James Sheppard) for anything, get a better first round draft pick, and start planning for the 2011 season. This team needs to go through a real rebuilding mode with a good GM if we want to be a consistent force in the years to come.
