Keep your head up.

Former Fighting Sioux hockey star Joanthan Toews gets clocked by former Wild and Current Vancouver Canuck defenseman Willie Mitchell during last nights games. No word yet on Toews's status. There is an interesting discussion over on Kuklas Korner on a player made a legal hit and smoked a guy and now he has to fight. I would be willing to bet that Toews wil be a little more careful next time he is skating through the neutral zone.

BallHype: hype it up!

  1. The alternative to Mitchell fighting is that the Blackhawks may feel it necessary throw the same kind of hit on a skill guy for the other team.

It becomes almost mandatory when there's a mismatch in size and skill. Why not always go after the other teams skill guys?

I don't think it's a real good situation, but as a Blackhawk do you have to do something?

  2. George Parros, lined up TJ Oshie, in Anaheim last weekend. After going high with an elbow, it looked dirty, (Parros being known as a fighter) many Blues player immediately dropped their gloves (I do believe Crombeen, and McClemment) and a roughing penalty was given to Crombeen.

I think when most players see their "core" players get hit, they immediately resort to sticking up for them. I like it, it shows good team chemistry, that the team will stick up for eachother.

  3. If someone leads with an elbow, that to me must be addressed and Paros will get his again soon. The Blues must not have dresed their tough guy Cam Jassens (St Louis native)? John Scott worked Parros ass in a game recently, I have to admit that I loved watching this happen.
