Lest we not forget.

Goon's World would like to thank all of our Veterans serving our great nation. Some people seem to forget what Memorial Day stands for, it's not just a day off from work. Memorial day is for reflection and to remember our soldiers that have served this great nation, some have given their life serving.

  1. Goon,

Right on. That was not only touching, but needed. The hippies, libs, and all the rest have no clue about service. Keep the good fight going. I'm going to alert some friends to this.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Good post there Goon. Lots of us Americans forget that it's more than just a national holiday, it's the a celebration in rememberence to those that came before us. Unfortunately, not everyone gets the day off though!

  3. I think people sometimes forget what Memorial day signifies, its a memorial to the sacrifices many have made...

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have the day off. Burr, and yucky weather.

  4. Hey Goon,

This day, as well as the national anthem has always brought me chills, knowing what our friends and family have gone through. Here's a link to a kid that was a former neighbor (when I lived at Aaby's place). Good story...and hope that he recovers quickly.

  5. Yeah good points cedarsioux as a veteran Memorial Day and Veterans days are special to me because of all the soldiers that gave up so much and some sacrificed everything. They truly make this nation great. I still get choked up with I hear the star spangled banner as well.
