Here are the Bruin's records against team they could face in the next round. The Bruins have had good luck against all teams they could face in the second round. It would be fun to see Lucic beating up on Sean "Sloppy Seconds" Avery if he hasn't been banished to the press box by the time the second round comes around. If the Bruins face off against the Flyers it would bring the Patrice Bergeron against Randy Jones matchup.
Bruins vs. Rangers (2-1-1)
Bruins vs. Hurricanes (4-0-0)
Bruins vs. Penguins (2-1-1)
Bruins vs. Flyers (2-1-1)
Looks like the days are numbered for the bruins?

Looking at those four possible opponents in the second round, I don't think it really matters. The other four teams listed are still trying to GET TO the second round. Obviously I'm rooting for the Flyers, but realistically I think it's going to be the Rangers, as they are up 3-1 in their series against the Caps. Boston and New York already have quite a rivalry in baseball, should be a good series if it takes place in hockey too.

ReplyDeleteI could see them winning the east. If they have to play Detroit in the finals, they're fu**ed. No one from the east can beat them (and maybe no one from the west either).
ReplyDeleteI don't agree because Detriot's goaltending sucks and Osgood isn't half the goaltender Timmy Thomas is.
