So does Lucic get suspended?
This happened at the end of the game and you have to wonder if Lucic will get suspended for a game by the NHL for his vicious high cross check on Maxim Lapierre. Not that Lapierre didn't deserve it, because he did I am hoping the league doesn't suspend Lucic based on the fact that Lapierre came flying at Lucic.
The Montreal Canadians are getting their asses handed to them by the Bruins and their frustration is starting to show and the lack of class by the Canadians as well. Mike Komisarek is also begging for a beat down and his bush league face washes and it has become tiresome and one of the Bruins need to answer the bell.

Heh, looks like your little Bruins are being some bad boys too Gooner :P Lucic cross checked Schneider and Lapierre quite a few times there, and I don't think that coming to defend a guy who is being assaulted really deserves a cross check to the face ;)
ReplyDeleteIf Randy Jones (last year) only gets 2 games suspension for a vicious hit from behind on Bergeron causing severe brain trauma ending Bergeron`s season. There is no way that Lucic should get suspended for a cross check to the face causing minor to no injury to La Pierre. La Pierre was going towards Lucic. What to you think La Pierre`s intentions were? I don`t think he was going over to Lucic to congratulate the Bruins on an impressive win.
ReplyDeleteAs much as you dislike the Canadiens, they are probably considered to be the most successful professional hockey team in NHL history with 24 Stanley Cups. It's quite common to have a dislike for a team even though they are at "elite" status. It's probably somewhat similar to how I feel about the Sioux: I dislike them because of their success...but at least I respect them! It's going to be a completely different story at the Belle Center for games 3 and 4.
