Ballard whoops Crosby.

I had to watch this video a few times and all I can say is good for Keith Ballard nice to see Cindy Crosby get what's coming to him. Crosby while a great player acts like a spoiled toddler that has had his pacifier taken away from him.

I am also sick and tired of seeing hockey players go after the opposition after they have recieved a legal body check or one of their teammates have been hit by a legal check. Grow the hell up and be a man, your part of the ice. This is unacceptable, If you don't like to get hit play tennis. There is no rule that you can't hit a teams star player.

  1. Definately agree with a clean hit. But good for Crosby, I personally like him. Glad to see him fighting and standing up for his teammates, whether it was warranted or not!

  4. I too am sick and tired of guys going after an opposing player for a clean hit on a teammate. big hits are a part of the game. i'm just wondering with all the "code" talk in the NHL and the respect the players give the code, then why this crap? Crosby's antics over the last couple of years have made me dislike him. In this instance, I don't agree with tho0505, sticking up for a teammate in this case is not warranted.

  5. Archie I agree that was a clean check and there is no reason to fight someone it is part of the game. I also agree that Crosby's antics have become tiresome.

  6. Agreed with Archie: any player that is on the ice should be fair game, provided it is a LEGAL and CLEAN hit. Cheapness and penalties are class-less and should not be tolerated, especially on a "star" player. I definately would have to DISAGREE with 0505: Cindy Crosby is a pansy, a whiner, and plays like a baby that needs his diaper changed. Here's hoping for a Philly-Shittsburgh first round matchup, aka another Pennsylvania "Cold War."

  7. It might not have been a penalty but any time you cut a guys legs you can expect someone to come after you. Sids the captain and did what he should have done. Even if he would have gotten dummy punched I'd still give him props. BTW, no one got whooped. WCHAdominates, "penalties are classless"? What? Have you ever heard of a good penalty to take? It happens quite a bit and it's far from classless. I encourage you to pick up the book "Hockey for Dummies."

'Cut a guys legs? Not sure what that means... But the awesome hipcheck by the one-time Golden Gopher was clean. I agree that it is unfortunate if that is now reason alone to start a fight.

...I encourage you to pick up any book, heck, even a pamphlet for starters.

  9. Now hold on a second, I meant to say "cheap penalties" in my earlier post. I understand the concept of a good penalty, and this does not qualify. Taking out a guys legs is dangerous and often results in an injury, which can be very serious sometimes too.

  10. I didn't see any problem with that Ballard hip check. It is a text book check. I don't think it was all that low.
