Well, it was splitsville for everyone playing this weekend except MSUM which sweep the Gophers for the first time, EVER! Congratulations Mavericks!
Are the Gophers now the BAD BOYS of the WCHA? 2 players were give 5-minute majors and ejected from Saturdays game only minutes apart, and another 5-minute major the night before. They got 14 penalties and 42-minutes on Fri, and 10 for 42-minutes on Saturday. And Lucia's comments that they may need to get some players to protect their top talents since the league isn't, whoo hoo, what will happen with that...
I'm got a couple of the series right this weekend, splits. Of course, all that really does is leave us with a pile of teams in the hunt for home ice, with a 3-way tie for 5th place, and the 6th and 7th place teams only 1 and 2 pts behind, yikes!
Maybe this upcoming weekend the title race and home ice pictures might get cleared up a little, maybe...
I am sure the sioux will get blamed for this one too.
