Coach Hakstol called in from his Hyundai Sonata in Alberta Canada. Swig asked coach Hakstol how they keep track of all the UND recruits. Coach Hakstol said when he worked for Dean Blais and they didn’t work on future recruits at all. Now, basically the majority of the recruiting is done on future recruits. Coach Hakstol keeps a depth chart and keeps track where they are from year to year.

Coach Hakstol talked about the ins and outs of recruiting players. Brandon Bochenski’s name came up and Hakstol talked about the knock on Bochenski was his skating but he put the puck in the net every time he touched the puck.

Coach Hakstol likes his d-corps. They have been pretty darn good. The team needs to raise the level of play. Up front it has been someone different every night, everyone is playing well. Zajac lines needs to continue to except the grinding /energy line role. Duncan’s line has been really good both ways.
