Sioux 6 - Gophers 3

The Fighting Sioux fans were urged to wear white t-shirts this weekend by Fighting Sioux captain Ryan Ducan. The white out by the fans ended up being a smashing success, and the night ended up being a white wash for the Gophers as the Sioux ran the Gophers out of the rink on the way to a 6-3 butt kicking.

The Sioux were dominating from the drop of the first puck to the game’s final horn. If one had not watched the game the box score illustrates how dominate the Sioux were; the edge in shots after two periods of hockey was 37-12 and goals 4-1.

Positives from the game

The play of Evan Trupp (1-1-2) and Jason Gregoire (2-1-3) these two players were the difference in the game. Big time player score big goal at just right time. Evan Trupp's shorthanded goal got the rolling Sioux in the second period as they scored four goals.

The Sioux win the game and get no points from Brad Miller or Chay Genoway while both players didn't figure in the scoring they both chipped in solid play in the defensive zone, Genoway was a +2 on the night.
