Gophers men's hockey coach Don Lucia never has missed a game because of illness in 22seasons as a head coach at three colleges. That streak might end tonight when the Gophers play Brown at 7:07 p.m. in the second game of the Dodge Holiday Classic at Mariucci Arena.
Lucia has made only one brief appearance this week at the rink because of an undisclosed medical problem. Whether Lucia returns tonight depends on how well he feels, said Jim Strick, the men's hockey sports information director for the university.

Gophers coach might miss game due to illness.
This just came across the wire. Gophers Hockey coach Don Lucia may miss Friday's game because of an undiclosed illness. I hope that Lucia's illness is nothing serious and he can return to the bench soon.

This is a guy that coached the bench with a neck brace on so it's gotta be pretty bad.
