Blues 5 and Bruins 4. Shoutout. (Oshie with the Winner)

Check out the scoring from yesterdays game between the BRUINS and the BLUES nice representation of NCAA Division one college hockey players. This is the classic wig out by former Vermont goalie and current Bruin Tim Thomas as David Backes scores the winning goal with one second left. If anything I thought the goalie was scored by a high stick. The game between the Bruins and the Blues went to a shootout with Former Sioux T.J. Oshie scoring the winning goal in the Shootout. Don't give me the bravo sierra that shootouts are boring.

Simply Put gives his analysis of the game as well. BrettB is right I believe that Backes is the best thing to come out of MSU-M as far as professional hockey palyers go.

  1. I've only been going to Sioux games regularly as a season ticket holder for the last 5 or 6 years, but no one (Toews, Parise) has made me say "WOW!" as often as Oshie did.

  4. Oh, and good thing that you noted that Backes is the best thing to come out of MSU "as far as professional hockey players go" because we all know that I am the best thing to come out of MSU in general:) HAHAHAHA!

  5. Finally got around to watching the whole game, and wow, what a last 7 minutes in the 3rd. It was like its own condensed version of "speed hockey".

Poor Steve Wagner, he was up with the Blues playing well on the Blue Line, and then Coach Murray said he wasn't "speaking up and talking" while on the ice, which forced them to send him down to Peoria. Otherwise he could've gave Backes a run for his money.

Also whats interesting is today Blues Beat writer JR wrote up a piece on how Backes is Captain Material.. Good read.
