I was thinking about how UND usually is at the top of the league for penalty minutes but this year UND is taking less penalties than the opposition. The numbers are the break downs of the numbers of penalties taken by each team for each series.

ReplyDeleteHow do you leave out Mike Prpich, Mike Commodore, Matt Greene, Andy Schneider, these guys put Kaiper, Rad's and especially Chorney to shame...
But yes, this the 1st of many years, the Sioux don't have some bad azz mah fockers ready to put a hurt on with the snap of a finger.. (Don't get me wrong Jones'y as you're tough, but not a heavyweight like the above players. Or a player that consistently is targeted by other coaches pregame.. lol, I'll never forget almost getting thrown out of the '04 Final Five for calling out Shyiak for targeting Prp's after he nailed one of his players.
I think that this team finishes checks but it hasn't gotten into the after the wistle stuff of past teams. Last year UND was like Number two in the NCAA stats for PIMS.

ReplyDeleteI'll never forget the HOF game against Duluth when Peluso and Prpich scrapped it out, throw in McMahon/Vannelli as well.
