How about Phil?

This is the question that was posted on USCHO seems that they are having a tough time seeing past their love affair with the CCHA. Nice to see Roe and Bachman getting some love but they are freshmen.

QUESTION: Going into the homestretch of the regular season, who is the current favorite for the Hobey Baker Award?

Nathan Gerbe, BC -- 22-22-44 in 31 GP with 3 SHG

Richard Bachmann, Colorado College -- leading nation in save percentage (.935) and GAA (1.71) along with 21-5-1 record

Ryan Jones, Miami -- Nation's leading goal scorer with 29-14-43 in 34 GP

Kevin Porter, Michigan -- Nation's leading scorer with 25-26-51 in 34 GP

Ryan Lasch, St. Cloud -- Just a sophomore but tied for second nationally in points with 19-25-44 in 32 GP

Some other player not mentioned above
I don't know / No opinion.

How about where is Jean-Philippe Lamoureux a goals against average of 1.76 and a save percentage of .931. Mind you; this wasn't done playing a bunch of cup cakes this was done playing the toughest strength of schedule in college hockey while Porter and Jones have done it against a shamefully weak strength of schedule.

  1. Come on you guys...you can't really have a problem with Gerbe or Porter, right? Perhaps the "dynasty builder", (ha ha), at Miami (and I'm sure, from what I've seen on Direct TV he's fairly decent too). But Gerbe and Porter are really fairly above average candidates....I would love to have Gerbe, alongside Duncan playing for the Sioux>

  2. Good lord...you Sioux fans from the Midwest are really lame...Lammy is an excellent Hobey candidate, but really nothing compared to Gerby and Porter when you stop to think about it...I love WCHA hockey, but Michigan /Michigan State was the best I've seen this year...Goon's boys are dead...let's have some surepticious comments from the likes of filthy (oops....I mean Dirty)....

  3. Dirty is funny. Goon is tiresome.

    "How about where is JPL"?

    Lets see ...
    Bachmann .935 and 1.71
Diving Whiner Boy .931 and 1.76

Sigh. Maybe it's Myles Brand's fault? And again you're going with the "weak schedule" BS? LOL.

Sign off dude. Give up blogging about hockey. There aren't enough hunting blogs. Get on that ok?

  4. How can any goalie win the hobey when McKee had a save % of .948 and 1.24 gaa followed by Elliot with a .938 and a gaa of 1.55 the next year and they both don't win

  5. So; you think I hate the Sioux; not true!! People think I'm an idiot for following college hockey here in the East...I really enjoy it all...and who can argue with UNH being #1....none of us I hope...they're good and they did handle the Sioux at home....Michigan as #1 is a joke, but that will be evident soon enough....LET'S GO SIOUX!

  7. CS Sioux Not that I have to answer your post nor do I ussually reply to TROLLS. I am not sure what your point is? No said they were any good but they have been padding their stats against cup cakes. The CCHA is a horrible league.

To answer you question I was sleeping because I work on the night shift if It matters to you big city people on the east coast. Also, UNH didn't handle UNH it was pretty even on Saturday night after UND Until the Sioux let TWO empty net goals.

Richard BACHMAN and Lammy are neck and neck and deserved just as much attention as the other people are getting nationally.

  8. Sioux from the Midwest, wow, isn't UND in the Midwest? It was last time I checked since I live here.

The weak schedule is a legitimate point since the so called experts have also brought it up. I was going to say hey go SeaWolves but they will be done 1 week after the WCHA playoffs starts.

It's WINNEPEG... Winnepeg is also on hwy 75 and not I-29.

  9. Goon:
That should be "you're an idiot" instead of "your an idiot".

And it's spelled "Winnipeg" not "Winnepeg"

And please ... don't ever consider saying "Go SeaWolves" for one reason: It's "Go Seawolves". Now use your best skills from the Sesame Street episode that you just watched and tell me the difference between those two things.

Otherwise KUDOS (that mean you're kewl beans) for knowing that I-29 ends at the U.S. Border.

  11. Goon- oh Goonster...if you're going to fight with the posters you must learn "your and you're" along with "there, their, and they're" :)

I would vote for Lammy as "pedophile of the year"

  12. Come on Amy Pedophile of the year, that is silly.
