After two straight trips to the NCAA Frozen Four, the Fighting Sioux found themselves 7-10-1 on Dec. 16. Since then, they’ve gone 9-1-2 (including a current Division I-best nine-game unbeaten streak) and have all but secured a berth in the 16-team NCAA tournament. North Dakota (16-11-3) is No. 9 in the PairWise Rankings and fifth in the WCHA, holding onto the final home playoff spot.
So it's a done deal. Is there any point in even playing the games.
