Interesting UND drops two spots and they didn't play and Cornell goes up one spot and they didn't play this weekend either. Media darling Princeton dropped in the poll as well... I am surprised that C.C. remained at number one and they didn't win a game this weekend. I think this season there is a lot of parity.

  1. Why do we always seem to drop in the polls when we're off? I know we have climbed on off weeks, but it's been much rarer than the drops.

It doesn't matter anyway, and we're probably lucky to be ranked at all with a 1-3 record this year.

But it makes you shake your head and wonder why anyone cares about the polls, unless UND is at the top of course.

  2. I don't know if it really matters right now the fact that Princeton is ranked as high as they are is a major joke.

UND should have scheduled them to come here and hammer them for two games.

  3. The Mavs moved up one spot too..the polls really don't matter at all especially now, but I would assume UND has fallen lower because they really didn't show any kind of good hockey until about halfway through the third period in Mankato..A sweep against the BADgers would move them up again, as would Mavs wins, making that UND win look better, etc.

There is too much parity this year in the sport for polls to matter, and anyone can beat anyone on any night, so I really don't think it matters anyways.

  4. Lots of parity this season, I think one of the main reason is the huge turn over that a lot of teams suffer every season.
