Oshie on Brad Miller time

I thought this one was a really funny episode; it was also interesting that TJ Oshie brought up the point on Danny Kristo’s celebration and how he goes down on one knee and waves his hand around. Oshie said, “when you score goals, this (goes down on one knee and waves arm) we don’t do that here, maybe in Minnesota we know you’re from the cities, probably could have went there…” That was classic stuff.

BallHype: hype it up!

  2. Come on Charlie! Do you really think an NHL player with T.J. status and with all of the testing that takes place would show up high on a televsion broadcast? You can do better than that.

  3. I am half kidding, Goon. I have never seen him speak before. He came off a bit odd to an Oshie newcomer like me. How would you describe his condition in that snippet floating around the web?

  4. I figured that you must have been kidding to a certain degree. I know there are a lot of T.J. Ohsie haters out there and as a Sioux fans he is one of my all-time favorites.

Brad Schlossman said over on his blog that T.J. told him that he wasn't drunk, and wanted to clear things up. I thought he was funny. Unless your able to determine a person physical state from a video, who are we to say?

T.J. might have been nervous being on T.V. Personally I wasn't there so how do I know?

I know from past lawenforcement experience, during my younger days I have come in contact that I would have sweared and suspected that they were intoxicated or on drug only to see them blow a .000 on the test.

  5. Gotcha. I have nothing against him, and would have loved to have seen him play for the Gophers!

...I will say though that it is not a video that UND will likely use as a recruitment tool! :)

  6. If you don't think that Osh was drunk in the interview last weekend you've OD'd on the green Kool Aid.

I wonder how long it'll be before the Blues or his agent tell him he can't go back to Grand Forks. Seems to be once the kid sets foot in that town, he can't control his actions very well.

Seems to me like he needs to spend more time with Backes in St. Louis so he can teach him how to be the All American Golden boy off the ice!

  7. Oshie kind of made up for his embarrassing interview the other night.

  8. He is either in (let's call it) an 'altered state' of some sort, or he was so focused on hockey since 5th grade that he didn’t bother to open a text book and learn anything! :)

Goon, you suggest that somebody of his status wouldn't show up to a tv broadcast high. Isn't it a bit surprising that somebody of his status he would show up to one so disheveled looking? I am suggested he wear a tux, but there's no denying the dude looks pretty sloppy.

  9. I meant to type 'not suggesting' above...
