  1. I am a Sioux fan but I think the Sioux are overrated right now in the polls.

#6 just seems a bit high when looking at all the other teams on the poll. How are the sioux ahead of Wisco? Wisco has 2 more wins and one less loss and they took 3 of 4 points in Grand Forks last weekend. I wonder if some voters are taking into account Genoway's injury?

I think they are a good team with potential to be great. They have had some bad luck with refs and injuries and lost a few close games but they are barely top 6 in the conference right now, How can they be top 6 in the country?

I almost think it might do some good if they dropped a bit more after the last few weeks of mediocre results. Maybe if they fall out of the top 10 it will add a little desperation and intensity to their game.

  2. I am fine with where they are right now. If Chay doesn't come back this could be a very short season. I think you might be right on the Genoway injury. Only time will tell, apparently someone posted on USCHO that Chay is starting to have some good days as well.

  3. Up until this past weekend, Wisconsin had played a relatively easy schedule and a ton of games at home. Of their 8 conference wins, 5 are at home against Tech, Anchorage, and Minnesota - 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the league. Don't get me wrong here - they are a solid team, but let's see how they do against some better competition in the second half before putting them up there with Denver, CC, and UND.

I think that everyone now sees that Bemidji State IS NOT who we thought they were. They free-fall from first to fifth in the pairwise. Imagine what'll happen when they start losing the likes of Niagara, Huntsville, Robert Morris, and Air Force!

  4. Bemidji was good enough to beat Miami - the only team to do so in regulation this year - so I'm willing to give them a pass on their winless weekend.
