Analysis: UMD sweeps the MSU-M Mavericks. UND takes 3 points from Minnesota, kudos to the Fighting Sioux defense kept Jordan Schroeder off the score board all weekend. The Badgers get one point on the weekend and it will be interesting to see how C.C and Wisconsin respond after this weekend's play.

Analysis: SCSU finally gets a win against a non-conference opponent and their nonconference record stands at 1-2-1 after two weekends of play. UAH beats AFA twice and now the Falcons are 0-4 on the season after being swept by BSU last weekened. Merrimack College evens their record to 2-2 after getting a sweep against Holy Cross. Dean Blais’ UNO Mavericks gets a win and a tie against ECAC opponent Colgate. Miami University another good weekend as they get a win and a tie against UNH.

Alaska Goal Rush

Rensselaer 1 at Alaska 1 ot [Alaska wins in shootout 1-0]
Robert Morris 5 vs. Alaska-Anchorage 3

Analysis: Good win by Robert Morris as they beat the UAA Seawolves. Here is my question; so did UAA take RMU for granted by thinking they were a cupcake or RMU is a pretty good hockey team. I am thinking maybe a little bit of both. The other Alaska school wins another tourney in Alaska.

BallHype: hype it up!

  1. I agree with the little of both on UAA and RMU. RMU's finding their identity, and quick. There has already been some changes to the top PP line, as Kushneriuk was moved off at center for Furman South. He had major trouble winning faceoffs in the offensive zone on Friday night against the Nanooks of UAF.

They need to let the game come to them and slow the pace down, in the UAF game they were to quick to surrender the puck while on the attack, never allowing themselves a chance to get setup. That was a different story on Saturday. They stayed out of the penalty box, won faceoffs and got good shots, as well as out-shot their opponent.
