Fire Doug Risebrough NOW!!!

I have had it. As a fan of the Wild I am disgusted as I watched Wild GM Doug Risebrough screw up another trade deadline and picked up nobody. This time the Wild didn't even go for a rent a player like Chris Simon. (click here for the article)
Risebrough said it was quiet for him all day. The team maintains that it will not trade its core players like Mikko Koivu and Brent Burns or its young talent like James Sheppard, Colton Gillies and Tyler Cuma.

Wow, James Sheppard has scored a grand total of 8 goals in two NHL seasons. Colton Gilies is lighting up the league as well scoring a grand total of 6 points. Tyler Cuma isn't even in the NHL yet he is in the OHL and has been hurt most of the year. Tyler Cuma has played 21 games scoring 1 goal and 8 assist for 9 points. Obviously Koivu and Burns are the future of the Wild. That being said if you can trade the current nobodies on the Wild to get players that will make an immediate impact on the Wild you have to pull the trigger and inactivity is unacceptable. Earlier this summer the Wild had a chance to get Olli Jokinen but Doug Riesbrough didn't want to give up Pierre-Marc Bouchard and James Sheppard. Are you kidding me? I would have made the deal in a heart beat. Bouchard is a soft perimeter player that has scored 14 goals 26 assists for 40 points. I can only dream how Olli Jokinen would thrive in system with fellow Finlanders Mikko Koivu and Antti Miettinen.

Here is the petition to sign agreeing with the fact that Doug Risebrough neeeds to be fired! (click here)

  1. Goon- Wouldn't it be easier and better for your health if you just found another team to root for? DR ruined Calgary and now he's done it to the Wild. The Wild have a shitty team, no players in the minors, and a coach that teeters on retirement every season. They gave too much money for Schultz and now Backstrom. I don't know why they don't just trad PMB, Sheppard, and one of their Defensemen for scorers or younger players because this team is going nowhere this year, next year, and who knows when....

  3. Calgary is definately looking like the class of the Northwest Division right now with their acquisitions of Leopold and Jokinen. I don't know why Riseborough keeps Sheppard and Gillies. They are terrible and if someone offered me a cheeseburger happy meal for them, I'd take it in a second. The removal of Rolston, Parrish, and Demitra aren't looking so good right now are they?

  4. Whole league was quiet. I think the only team selling was Phoenix due to their standings. Making it hard for any of the GM's to make a big splash..

Although Anaheim was willing to trade Pronger for Oshie from the gist of what was being reported, but the Blues realize who their #1 jersey seller is right now..

ps Goon, you might as well give up on the wild, and stick with da B's..

  5. Yeah good point. The Bruins are pretty good, they made a couple of decent deals. I do wonder who is going to sit out for the Bruins they are loaded on defense.

Lucic is coming back tonight but I doubt he gets into a fight sound like he had his jaw rattled in his last fight.

  6. Archie I think D.R. is going to be done and J.L. is talking about retiring so there is hope. I think that I heard a rumor that Gabby was waiting to see if J.L. was going to retire before he would decide on coming back to the Wild. maybe that is why Hossa held back on signing with the Wild. I guess I can dream right?

  7. Hey Goon, why don't you just become a Flyers fan instead?

  8. I am bruins fans to the core. I also follow the Wild because they are the home town team. I like other wild fans are getting disgusted. But Archie is right, D.R. has run two teams into the ground. They will get better again.
