Air Force Holy Crosses Michigan

Holy Cow! I honestly can't believe it. Cue the hot goalie cliche'. Air Force just beat Michigan 2-0. Michigan put a lot of rubber on Andrew Volkening and he didn't let anything go by. That just busted everyone's brackets. Nice to see the kid from Grand Forks, ND Jacques Lamoureux score the goal for the Falcons.

End of Game

  1. Big upsets in the regionals on the first night. Two #1 seeds go down, Michigan to Air Force and Denver to Miami. I was at Mariucci for the West Regional games and Miami played very solid defense. Denver looked like it simply just didn't come to play until with about 4 minutes left in the game and it was too late. In the second game: absolute mayhem! Duluth was down 4-2 with only 40 seconds left, got a power play goal, and then with 12 seconds left and the face off at center ice, they got the tying goal with 0.8 seconds left. Mariucci was louder than any game I've been there for the Gophers, and it wasn't fully sold out either. Easily one of the best hockey games I've ever seen. Miami and Duluth should be great tonight, and I'll be there again.
