REA tough place to play.

Check out this video that I found on Youtube, it would appear that the REA is becoming a very hostile place for opposing players.

  1. Granted the "fan" could have stopped after the first 3 times he said the score and more..but I doubt you can go anywhere in the league and not expect heckling like this...I've seen it at every arena I've been to.

  2. Real classy, Sioux fans. Anyone that knows anything about college hockey knows that the REA is probably the hardest, most-indimidating building to play in as a visiting team, but it is NOT because of this heckling. That occurs at every arena.

  3. I think after the first time the guy asked the DU player what the score was that probably was good enough. The old REA was even more rabbid than the new one.

  4. It's a hockey game not a lacrosse match for fucks sake.

  5. Good point clown. I guess that Rizzo from FSN-RM would have hated the old REA where the fans were right on top of the ice, penalty box and the player's bench.

  6. I don't know why the Denver players even engage the situation. They just get the students more ramped up. I guess atmosphere is better than it was. I remember the new building being so docile the first couple of years open. Still doesn't compare to the old building tho. This stuff happens at most arenas. It doesn't hurt matters that the students are right behind the penalty box either. I think the students should be on the end where the Sioux shoot twice but that's just my opinion. our tickets are in 105 so maybe i really don't wish that was the case. :)

  7. As soon as DU comes back and punks North Dakota in the WCHA or NCAA playoffs, I'll enjoy this video more. :-)

    I'm pretty sure we're going to win; 7 to 3. 7 to 3. 7 to 3.

    ;-)

Actually picking on the guys over the score is pretty tame.
