Sioux vs Gophers week.
Here are a few things that should get you in the mood for this weekends series against the Golden Rodents of Minnesota. Lets just say that there is a lot of history between the two teams. Sometimes the results don't always go our way.
I look forward to these games every season when old rivals can get together to play some hockey and possibly exchange a few pleasantries. I am sure we are going to hear how UND is a bunch of hacks.
Lets just say I expect the Fighting Sioux to ready to play and I can't wait to see how the guys respond in this series.
In years past you would hear a lot of silly comments about UND using a bunch of 25 year old Canadians and how their titles don't count because they cheated. One of my favorites is how the Sioux are a bunch of goons and hacks. Most come backs against Gopher fans can be trumped with 7>5.
I am really looking forward to this weekend.
ReplyDeleteShould be a couple of good old fashioned grudge matchs like these games always are. Maybe we'll see you around the concourse, Goon. Pretty sure we're up in the nosebleeds again this year.

Oh that is right UND didn't have a hockey team when Minnesota was winning.

FHG26 we sit in section 303, nose bleeds. I like those seats because you can see the ice real well and the lines to the beer and bathroom are not that long. :)

ReplyDeletePlease tell me what you are referring to (0-2)? Is it the 2 NCAA titles that tDon won with Woog's recruits?
Or 2 AUU championships that aren't recognized as NCAA championships?
Or you are holding 2 fingers in the air? (Probably both middle fingers) :)
After this weekend were still all friends right? It is just a game.
That is why I never take message boards seriously. Too many rubes and not enough sense.
