Its official Jon Kalinski gone at MSU-M


I heard about this last night from Amy of LGMs Blog. This is a big loss for the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks. This clip is the last thing that I will remember about Jon Kalinski while wearing a Maverick's jersey. Wouldn't you know it Kalinski is assisting on a big goal short handed in over-time to beat the dirty Gophers in Mankato. This kid was always dangerous especially on the penalty kill... Minnesota State junior forward Jon Kalinski will forgo his remaining eligibility and has signed with the Philadelphia Flyers, the Mankato Free Press is reporting.

Kalinski was sixth-round pick of the Flyers in 2007.

Kalinski had eight goals and 18 points in 39 games this season. That was a dropoff from his 17-goal season in 2006-07. He had no goals and six assists in the Mavericks' last eight games.

For his college career, Kalinski finishes with 29 goals and 56 points in 106 games.
