Sioux 2 Gophers 1
The Sioux won a game that wasn't as fun to watch as some Sioux vs Gophers game in the past. One could make the argument that this game was boring or uneventful to watch. However, after reviewing the goal this morning all I can say is wow; what a goal... Also, I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth as a win is a win and that was win number 8 in a row.
The thing that really bugged me was halfway through the game, the feed from FSN flickered and went to another program. Then FSN flickered again and went to the Badger vs UMD game before finally returning back to the Sioux and Gophers. With the win, the Sioux now sit 5th in the PWR ranking at 17-8-1 and with the DU loss UND is looking like it could end up in second place.
In other games the ever-dominant Michigan tied CCHA cupcake Northern Michigan University 3-3 and MSU lost to an average UNO team 5-4.

ReplyDeleteThe Sioux were in a slump last night. Trupp with the help of Martens got that needed goal to give a spectacular finish to a terible game. The Sioux will most likely take the game tonight to give us nine games in a row. All I can say is let's stay on top!!!! GO SIOUX!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was an awesome goal scored by Trupp. What was really fun was when they interviewed coach Eades, and he said I can't too see Kevin Gorg do the move like Trupp to score the goal, that was classic.
ReplyDeleteWe had drank enough last night that we didn't realize that the game was off for a while...hmmm... Then we listened to it on the radio for a while and watched the UMD v UW game.
I don't think I will be up as late as last night, uff, getting home at 4am is hard on the body.
I would also like to say thank you to UAA and MSU-M for winning last night, THANK YOU.
We had a few last night. I did not realize they were in OT. I must have went to the can. Looks like Goon owes you a beer. You have to like it when you win a bet. The Sioux are going to win tonight!!! Win, Win, WIN!!! 4 am, we almost gave you a wake up call at 8:30. You probably would not have been impressed!

Ah, that is two beers, the Goon owes me. This was double or nothing, from the MTU-CC series.
