Lucia points out that every program has its advantages.
"It's not very expensive to go to school at St. Cloud," Lucia said. "If Denver gives a kid a half-scholarship, it still costs the player $20,000. At St. Cloud, a half-scholarship costs the kid $5,000.
"And it's a lot easier to get a kid into St. Cloud [academically] than it is to get a kid into here. As long as you are [an academic] qualifier, you can get into school there."
Did Lucia just call SCSU a second rate school. For 20,000.00 you can get someone else to do your home work for you too. Just kidding.
So is he saying SCSU only recruits poor dummies?
ReplyDeleteI think Lucia's comments only made HIM look stupid. I was pretty surprised to read that. In any case, he set up a good argument for why the Huskies were able to embarrass the Goofs last night...

ReplyDeleteYep, Frazee lost it Friday night (I told my friend when we walked in how much of a headcase he was and how much fun the game was likely to be). Perfect timing! :) I really didn't think SCSU would win last night though cuz the Goofs were playing a lot better at the beginning of the game. They chipped away at Briggs though!!

ReplyDeleteI too am shocked tDon said this. Doesn't seem like him and I think he got caught talking without fully thinking it through.
I would be willing to bet that Hakstol will not be disrespecting the Huskies this weekend. Dave knows whats on the line and I don't think he is going to ruin the games by saying something petty.
