NCAA Hockey: Jonathan Turk knees Shane Gostisbehere (Video)

Vermont’s Jonathan Turk was given a two minute minor penalty for Charging. To me, this looks like Turk hit the Union defenseman Shayne Gotisbehere with a knee on the back of the knee hit. Union wasn’t happy with the hit. Gotisbehere did return to play in the second period.

UND Hockey: If the season ended today, and it doesn't end today... But....

As I have said before, there's a lot of college hockey season left and when some were panicking, I wasn't. If season ended today and it doesn't,  UND would make the NCAA tourney. With the five-game win streak, the 4-2-2 non-conference things look "okay" for UND. Now, I am not going to make any bracketology blog posts or anything like that, but I am just putting things into perspective.

Canada's Brianne Jenner check on USA's Josephine Pucci; Donnybrook USA and Canada

“That player (Brianne Jenner) that hit (Josephine) Pucci took her out for a season, two seasons ago,” Monique Lamoureux said. “She took a head shot at her, so were going to stick up for our teammates and were going to protect them. I think Jocelyn obviously body checked her, but I think it was clean. If you’re going to take a head shot at one of our players there’s consequences for it. Look what happened to me in Burlington (Vermont).”

“You have to protect your own players and you have to protect your own house,” USA forward Brianna Decker said.

The CBS Sports Network released its 2012-13 Television schedule today and you will see that the WCHA schools were shutout for this season and for the most part CBSSN is showing only Hockey East and CCHA games.

Per Dan Sabreen of CBS - "CBSSN does not have a deal with the WCHA."
