Traditional Circle of Sticks X5

That's five series sweep for the season, two series sweeps in a row. UND only had three series sweeps last season (Holy Cross, Michigan Tech and Nebraska-Omaha). Four regular season games left.

Outdoor rink pictures - from the John Buccigross twitter feed

Some of these are really cool... s/t @Buccigross... When I used to live in International Falls, Minnesota we used to play hockey on the outdoor rinks all of the time.

Auburn SID has SEC Wedding Game Notes

I think this is funny, I was wondering if hockey bloggers have live blogs and tweet-ups at their weddings as well?  s/t to Deadspin. How about the birth of your first child? That might be taking it a bit far.

Chicago Blackhawks twitter pictures

Here are some interesting pictures that were posted on twitter right after the game. This has been an interesting and intense series so far, very rough and very hard hitting. Tonight, there were 82 hits in this game, with L.A. dishing out 46 hits.

Eight year Martin Richard killed by Boston bomber

I can't even make sense out of this senseless act, the sub human animal(s) that perpetrated this disgusting, vile, faceless act of terror needs to be brought to justice.

TATEMENT FROM BILL RICHARD:

“My dear son Martin has died from injuries sustained in the attack on Boston. My wife and daughter are both recovering from serious injuries. We thank our family and friends, those we know and those we have never met, for their thoughts and prayers. I ask that you continue to pray for my family as we remember Martin. We also ask for your patience and for privacy as we work to simultaneously grieve and recover. Thank you.”

Fabian's "Movember" contribution

Check out this stache by former UND forward and current UND women's assistant hockey coach Erik Fabian. I think Erik should grow the Fu Manchu mustache. Everytime I see Erik Fabian standing behind the UND women's bench I think of the song "Fabian" by Red Seal Peach.
