Boston Strong and National Anthem, Bruins and Sabres game - Daniel Paille goal.
Unbelievable night in Boston, Massachusetts. I don't believe that there were very many dry eyes in the arena tonight, I know there wasn't in my living room at home tonight. According to Mike "Doc" Emrick, every Boston Bruins player lives with in the city of Boston.
“Boston is a tough and resilient town," President Obama said. So are its people

Eight year Martin Richard killed by Boston bomber
"Continue to pray for my family as we remember Martin." Full statement from Bill Richard: on.fb.me/17jqbmd twitter.com/ABC/status/324…I can't even make sense out of this senseless act, the sub human animal(s) that perpetrated this disgusting, vile, faceless act of terror needs to be brought to justice.
— ABC News (@ABC) April 16, 2013
TATEMENT FROM BILL RICHARD:
“My dear son Martin has died from injuries sustained in the attack on Boston. My wife and daughter are both recovering from serious injuries. We thank our family and friends, those we know and those we have never met, for their thoughts and prayers. I ask that you continue to pray for my family as we remember Martin. We also ask for your patience and for privacy as we work to simultaneously grieve and recover. Thank you.”

No hockey in Boston tonight... Good decision by the NHL
Game is off. Our best to everyone affected, please be safe.
— Andrew Ference (@Ferknuckle) April 15, 2013
My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the senseless act of terrorism/violence. Nothing, I mean nothing, can justify this.
Per the NHL - The National Hockey League game between the Boston Bruins and the Ottawa Senators scheduled for Monday night at TD Garden was postponed hours after multiple explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
No makeup date for the game was announced by the NHL.
Tonight's game between the @nhl_sens & @nhlbruins at TD Garden has been postponed. Our thoughts are with you #Boston.

Adam McQuaid pounds Brian Boyle
Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid and New York Rangers forward Brian Boyle are two big boys and this was a pretty good fight in my opinion. This is one thing that I like about the NHL, something happens on the ice and it's settled the players on the ice and not the officials. I score the fight a win by McQuaid. Unfortunately, the Boston Bruins are losing 2-0 after one period of hockey.

Bu's controversial goal against Harvard
BU's forward Danny O'Regan scores a controversial goal against Harvard Crimson goalie Raphael Girard, but after further review it appears that the Hockey East Official Kevin Shea made the right call. I know some of our friends won't like the call but, the call on the ice looks correct. What do you think?
No one saw it but Kevin Shea, but he's in zebra stripes and an orange armband, so he's the only one that matters. 5-2 BU. #ECACHockey

Clarification on the Nick Bjugstad goal
I just got off the phone with the head of officials… According to Greg Shepherd Head of Officials for the WCHA, the Boston goalie Parker Milner’s momentum carried him into the net; he wasn’t touched by the Minnesota players so that’s why it was called a goal. If Milner had been touched, it would have been ruled no goal. Now you know the rest of the story

Revised and Updated College Hockey Television Schedule
Originally posted at the Hockey Writers - Combine.
If you have been scanning twitter and the various NHL webpages on the Internet you will realize that the NHL owners and NHL Players Association are still really no closer to signing a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Sure they’re going to meet tomorrow (6th of November, 2012) but will they actually get to work and try to save the 2012-13 season?
Fri. Nov. 9 Boston University at Merrimack FOX College 7:30 p.m. TBD
Sat. Nov. 10 North Dakota at Saint Cloud State NESN 7:00 p.m. 628/434
Sun Nov 11 Boston College at Boston University NESN 5:00 p.m. 628/434
Thu. Nov. 15 Notre Dame at Michigan CBS Sports Net. 7:30 p.m. 613 / 158 (C)
Fri. Nov. 15 UMD at UND FCS/Midco 7:37pm TBD
Fri Nov. 16 UMD at UND FCS/Midco 7:07pm TBD
Previously, I posted a
national television schedule for NCAA Division I college hockey.
As with most sports, television schedules are fluid and change a lot, so
I added a few dates to the television schedule that I posted back in October.
According to recent information that
was announced last weekend during the nonconference series between BU and UND;
NESN out of Boston, Massachusetts is
picking up game two of the UND and SCSU series in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.
That is good news for college hockey and NHL fans that are looking for
something to fill the void left by the NHL Lockout. Also, Boston College
travels across town to play their heated rival the Boston University
Terriers on Sunday November 11th, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. central on
NESN.
Apparently NESN is picking up Saturday's UND vs. SCSU game next weekend (available on DirecTV and Dish).

BU to fly to Grand Forks on Thursday
@goon48 We have a flight out of Boston at 9 a.m. on Thursday
— Brian Kelley (@BKelleyBU) October 31, 2012
There is some good news, there was some speculation on whether BU would be able to make it out of Boston because of the Hurricane Sandy. Luckily this will not be the case and BU will be flying out of Boston on Thursday as scheduled. This is good news.
Also, Terriers head coach Jack Parker sat out last weekend's series against UMass because of back injury/pain. Parker will be behind the Terriers bench this weekend.
A welcome sight at practice as Coach Parker is back on the ice! All rested and ready to make the big trip to NoDak. twitter.com/TerrierHockey/…
— BU Men's Hockey (@TerrierHockey) October 30, 2012
This weekend's games against BU will be on Midco Sports Network, FOX College Sports Central (DirecTV 623) and NESN (DirecTV 628).

The 32 game National College Hockey Schedule - CBS sport announced 18 game schedule
CBS Sports Network (Photo credit: Wikipedia) |
As the Lockout enters the tenth day with no end in sight – hockey fans have been given even more options to fill the void left by theNHL lockout.
Earlier, I posted a 24 game college hockey schedule for NBC Sports Network. Today, CBS Sports Network announced their 18 game schedule and starting on Thursday November 15, 2012 with a game between Notre Dame and Michigan in Ann Arbor Michigan.
I took the liberty of combining the two schedules and now between the CBS Sports Network and NBC Sports Network schedules hockey fans have 32 game national college hockey schedule that hockey fans can choose from. You can check your local cable companies listings for what channel these sports networks are on. For those fans that have DirecTV, NBCSN is on channel 603 and CBSSN is on channel 613.
