I am a Boston Bruins fans, and I like Brad Marchand, I think he's a great offensive player. That being said, he's a dirty little punk on the ice. This is a dirty, bush-league play. I am surprised that Marchand hasn't been beaten to a pulp.

Former RedHawk Austin Czarnik signs with the Boston Bruins.
And now there will be two former Miami RedHawks on the Boston Bruins hockey team. Austin Czarnik joins former RedHawk Reilly Smith.
Congratulations to captain @ACzarnik7 on signing with the @NHLBruins! Thank you for 4 great years! #Brotherhood pic.twitter.com/j7X6tjkK2p

Antoine Roussel Has Hearing for Dirty X-Check on Adam McQuaid
Hockey is an emotional game. Things happen at a very high rate of speed. I am sure that the fans that hate the Boston Bruins will say that Adam McQuaid tried to hit Antoine Roussel with a dirty check and missed.
Whatever! These same fans will say that McQuaid deserved it because he plays for the Boston Bruins.
I don't think there's any way that you can excuse what Roussel did, this is a bush-league, dirty hit. Since Roussel has a phone hearing, his suspension will be under five games. I don't see how he escapes at least a two-game suspension for his.

Cal Clutterbuck check on Torey Krug (video)
This is the hit that New York Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck put on Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug. If you watch the video, Krug never had possession of the puck at anytime. The hit stunned Krug, but he was able to return to the game.
Should this have been an interference penalty? What do you think?

Dougie Hamilton Fights Gabriel Landeskog (Video)
Being a Minnesota Wild apologist, I was very happy to see this. In my personal opinion, this was long overdue.
Finally, someone decided to collect the bill with Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog. For those keeping track at home, this was the first professional fight for Boston Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton.

Minnesota Wild to get an Outdoor Game
As I just said on @NBCSN pre-game show, expectation is NHL will announce this weekend outdoor games next season for COL and MIN.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) January 22, 2015
It appears that the Minnesota Wild are finally getting an outdoor game next winter. This is good news for Minnesota Wild fans. First thing that popped into my head: is there's going to be a college hockey outdoor game as well? I am hoping.
MIN's opponent expected to be CHI; COL's opponent expected to be DET. BOS, of course, will host MTL on Jan. 1 in Winter Classic in Foxboro.

(Video and Vine) Zedeno Chara Pops Cedric Paquette and J.T. Brown Attacks David Krejci
I am not sure what Tampa Bay Lightning forward Cedric Paquette is attempting to accomplish. Seriously, Zedeno Chara is one of the toughest players in the NHL and talk about poking the bear. Then Paquette goes after Chara again at the end of the game.
Also, when did former UMD Bulldog J.T. Brown become a fourth line hack? s/t to Jack Edwards after Brown attacked Krejci for no apparent reason. Brown is very lucky that Milan Lucic was held up by one of his Lightning teammates.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Craig Adams No Goal, Goalie Interference (Video)
The Boston Bruins caught their second break of the game. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Craig Adams appears to have scored a legit goal. The goal is waved off by the on-ice official. In my humble opinion, this is not the correct call in this instance. Adam McQuaid appears to have pushed a Penguin into Tuukka Rask.
Looked like the Bruins caught a break on the no goal call for Pens. Adam McQuaid pushed Sill into Rask to create the contact with Rask

Saturday Night at the Fights: Milan Lucic works Dalton Prout
This was the much anticipated fight between Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic and Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Dalton Prout. I am going with the advantage to Lucic.

Bruins Bartkowski will not face hearing
Bartkowski/Gionta is an example of incidental head contact on an otherwise full body check. pic.twitter.com/iCAyDjRwsN
— NHL Player Safety (@NHLPlayerSafety) December 22, 2014
I told a friend of mine that if Brian Gionta was taller, he wouldn't have been injuried. This doesn't make Buffalo Sabres fans any happier. Obviously, some fans are unhappy with the move.

Matt Bartkowski hit on Brian Gionta (video)
Boston Bruins defenseman Matt Bartkowski was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for this hit on Buffalo Sabres forward Brian Gionta. It will be interesting to see if Bartkowski has a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player safety.
The Box Score will read:
14:08 BOS Matt Bartkowski served by Matt Fraser Fighting (maj) - 5 min against Brian Gionta
14:08 BOS Matt Bartkowski served by Matt Fraser Interference (maj) - 5 min against Marcus Foligno
14:08 BOS Matt Bartkowski Game misconduct - 10 min
14:08 BUF Marcus Foligno served by Mikhail Grigorenko Instigator - 2 min against Matt Bartkowski

Boston Bruins: Riley Smith Disallowed Goal (Video)
Doesn't take many views of this video to conclude that this was a blown call. There's no reason that Boston Bruins forward Riley Smith's goal shouldn't have counted. There was no interference with the Buffalo Sabres goalie.

Are The Boston Bruins shooting for T.J. Oshie?
If you believe the rumors on the Internet, the Boston Bruins attempting to trade for T.J. Oshie. As a Boston Bruins fan, I can only hope this rumor is true. The Boston Bruins are struggling offensively and a player like Oshie would give the listless Boston Bruins a nice shot in the arm.
Of course this trade almost seems impossible due to the fact that Bruins salary cap doesn't have any available space. Right now, the Bruins have $912,000.00 in cap space. To acquire Oshie, the Bruins would have to give up some expensive pieces to the Blues.
Greg Wyshynski, Puck Daddy -- The Blues have to look to the future, and Oshie might not be a part of it.With the season approaching the halfway mark, there are going to be teams that are looking to make trade to solidify their lineups for the stretch run. The Boston Bruins are looking for a forward to play with David Krecji and Milan Lucic. Oshie would probably fit that spot nicely.
So they’re listening to offers, and Elliotte Friedman says a lot of interest is trickling down from the Boston Bruins.
On Brady and Walker on Friday morning, Friedman said the Bruins have “talked a lot” with the Blues. “They’ve been linked to T.J. Oshie, and the issue there is that he’s got more term,” he said.
And that’s the trick for the Bruins: Their cap situation is even more precarious. They too have over $12 million in space for next season, but only 14 players under contract. Adam McQuaid (UFA), Torey Krug (RFA), Matt Bartkowski (UFA) and Dougie Hamilton (RFA) are all up; so is Reilly Smith (RFA).
(Please recall this cap situation in 2015 was the reason they couldn’t give Jarome Iginla a 2-year deal.)
One assumes any deal for Oshie would be salary for salary. Loui Eriksson, struggling to find his footing in Boston, is signed through 2016 and makes $4.25 million. One-for-one?

(Video) Brett Sutter check on Craig Cunningham
It almost looks like Minnesota Wild forward Brett Sutter caught Cunningham with an elbow in the chops. You make the call. That being said, it didn't look like interference to me.
Patrice Bergeron's Fluky Goal (VIDEO)
In the box score it will read, Patrice Bergeron (6) Wrist shot - ASST: Brad Marchand (11), Zach Trotman (4). In my opinion, it's God Awful goaltending by Niklas Backstrom.

NHL won't discipline Bruins' Seidenberg for hit on Toews
According to Tracy Myers of CSNCHICAGO.COM, the NHL is not going to discipline Dennis Seidenberg. Puck Daddy also has a nice post on the Seidenberg hit on Toews, too.
Greg Wyshynski, Puck Daddy -- The NHL’s Department of Player Safety decided on Friday that Dennis Seidenberg’s hit that injured Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks isn’t worthy of supplemental discipline, as there won’t be a hearing for the Boston Bruins defenseman.Do you agree or disagree with this? Feel free to chime in if you want. Is this the right decision.
As much as Blackhawks fans don’t want to hear it, this was the right call.
Ultimately, the League decided the call on the ice was the right one: a boarding minor. Just because a penalized player injured an opponent – and Toews’ status is still being determined, as the Blackhawks aren’t skating on Friday – doesn’t automatically mean the player deserves a suspension.

Krug Goal, Shaw and Kelly Fight (Video)
Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug scores a beautiful goal. Credit Bruins forward Milan Lucic with the assist.
After the goal, Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw hits Lucic a bit late and Chris Kelly takes exception and works Shaw in a post goal fight.
Julien credits Lucic's "awesome" effort on the Krug goal. "we need more of that... from everyone" ^CS

(Video) Milan Lucic Comments on the Prout Incident
Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic is a great fighter and a pretty good hockey player. Lucic is also one of my favorite Boston Bruins, but I think it's time for him to sack up and get over it. There's going to be days when someone gets the best of you, that's life. This is one of these instances.

Dalton Prout pops Milan Lucic
This one-punch was the subject of much discussion on Twitter. Give credit where credit is due, Dalton Prout got lucky, and I expect that Milan Lucic will extract his pound of flesh the next time the two teams play. In my opinion, Lucic's gloves weren't off and Prout used this as an opportunity to get the upper hand on Lucic.

Matt Fraser's Disallowed Goal
There's varying opinions on whether this goal should have counted or not. The Refs thought it was incidental contact. You be the ref, do you think the goal should have counted? I think it's should have counted, but I am Boston Bruins fan.
Nevermind - ruled incidental contact. No penalty, but no goal, either. #stlblues #OurBlues
