Antoine Roussel Has Hearing for Dirty X-Check on Adam McQuaid

Hockey is an emotional game. Things happen at a very high rate of speed. I am sure that the fans that hate the Boston Bruins will say that Adam McQuaid tried to hit Antoine Roussel with a dirty check and missed.

Whatever! These same fans will say that McQuaid deserved it because he plays for the Boston Bruins.

I don't think there's any way that you can excuse what Roussel did, this is a bush-league, dirty hit. Since Roussel has a phone hearing, his suspension will be under five games. I don't see how he escapes at least a two-game suspension for his.

(Video) Dallas Star Punk Antoine Roussel Runs Alex Stalock, Sucker Punches Justin Braun

s/t to Kuklas Korner. I don't know about you, but I am growing tired of Dallas Stars punk Antoine Roussel and  his antics. First I understand going hard to the net, but this is bush league. The goalie has an expectation to not be run over. This is unacceptable. Then the spineless punk sucker punches an unsuspecting player that's not ready to engage him. Roussel has an hearing tomorrow for the sucker punch, I am thinking a five-game suspension for this clown. Feel free to chime in.

(Video) Stars and Ducks scrum (Antoine Roussel and Ryan Getzlaf)

I guess no one reminded Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf that he had a bunch of stitches in his chin, right. It's got to be hard not to punch out a player like Antoine Roussel, when you play against him. I have to agree Getzlaf is a tough hockey player.

Antoine Roussel Dirty Elbow on Jonathan Toews

Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel was given a two-minute minor for his dirty elbow on Jonathan Toews. These are the kind of hits that I don't like, not one bit. This clown is going after a star player, with a high elbow, who's had concussion issues in the past.

The question I ask, do we want to see the NHL star players knocked out of games at the hands of third or fourth line players? There needs to be stiffer penalties for hits that target the head. This is why Andrew Shaw went after him earlier in the game.

Middle Weight Bout of the Night: Andrew Shaw vs. Antoine Roussel

Apparently, the Chicago Blackhawks didn't like the hit that Antoine Roussel put on Patrick Kane in the last game. Only the fifth fight of the year for the Chicago Blackhawks.

(Video) Ottawa’s Mark Borowiecki With A Backhand Into His Own Net

In a move which could be classified as being unfortunate. Ottawa defenesman Mark Borowiecki backhands the puck into his own net. Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel was the last one to touch the puck so he ends up being the beneficiary and gets credit for the goal. That’s goal number one on the year for Roussel. And it gets even better; the game was also Borowiecki’s NHL debut. Also, the Borowiecki miscue broke a 2-2 tie in the third period. The Senators would battle back before losing in a shootout 4-3. as well.

Dustin Brown hit on Antoine Roussel

I found this little news tidbit on Michael Russo’s blog, obviously, we don’t see every hit or very news story, but it appears that Dustin Brown came very close to being suspended by the National Hockey Leagues Department of Player Safety earlier in the week for this questionable hit on Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel.
via Russo’s Rants -- Brown, who amazingly has never been suspended, does this time and time again and somehow gets away with it. In my opinion, he should have gotten suspended for what I thought was a very dirty elbow on Dallas’ Antoine Roussel two nights ago.
