The first USCHO Poll is out and the
Boston College Eagles are the number one pick. I know that some Gopher fans will be upset with the slight but
according to Todd Milewski of USCHO, only one team since the 1997-98 season
– the
Minnesota Golden Gophers in 2002-03
– has went on to win an
NCAA title. So being the number one team in the first USCHO poll of the preseason really doesn't matter all that much.
